Getting a Smile Makeover

10 September 2013

Your smile is the central part of your personality, and something you should feel confident about.  Good oral hygiene habits are important not only for the health of your mouth and body, but also for how you feel about the way you look.  If you’re discouraged by the color of your teeth or the way you look when you smile, we offer a variety of options to give you the perfect smile makeover.

Dental Sealants

We recommend that once the permanent back teeth start to come in, a dental sealant should be applied to block access to the teeth from bacteria that can cause decay.  Dental sealants are also used with patients who are more susceptible to tooth decay.

Color Matching

New technology has made it even easier for our dentists to match veneers and crowns to the natural colour of your teeth.  With an impressive array of products from names such as Da Vinci and Empress, we use a computer to match the color of your natural teeth while you are in our office.

White Fillings

Traditional fillings have always been silver in color because they are made of a material that is sturdy and durable.  As white fillings have become more popular, new developments have made these composite fillings the stronger and more attractive option for fillings on both back and front teeth.

Porcelain Veneers

For teeth that are uneven, damaged or discolored, porcelain veneers act similarly to false fingernails.  Each “shell” is custom made and bonded to the front of the tooth to improve the appearance of your smile.

All-Porcelain Bridges & Crowns

Bridges can be used to take the place of up to four missing teeth.  Because they are custom made for each patient, they fit your smile and the size of your mouth perfectly.

Porcelain crowns are custom fit to your teeth, and can be applied in two short visits.  With the help of crowns made in a dental laboratory, we can quickly makeover your smile.

Precision Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are the ideal solution for the patient who is missing several teeth but has relatively healthy teeth throughout the rest of the mouth.  Partial dentures can be removed and are custom made for each patient.

Dental Implants

A dental implant may be used when one tooth is missing or must be removed.  The implant is connected to a small metal cylinder that is inserted into the jawbone through minor surgery.

Bonding

Bonding is a simple way to improve the appearance of teeth that are stained or discolored.  In one short office visit, your confidence will dramatically increase as any damaged teeth are bonded to look uniform and attractive.

Home Whitening

We also offer home whitening kits with custom bleaching trays for optimal results.  With just a few applications, you will notice a drastic change in the brightness of your smile with a home whitening kit.
