Dr Nasser Derakhshan

Periodontist

Dr. Nasser Derakshan is registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons as a Certified Specialist in Periodontics. His focus has been on dental implants and gum disease treatment. Dr. Derakshan successfully completed his D.M.D. degree in 1976 in his homeland of Iran. He speaks fluent English and Persian. In 1981, Dr. Derakshan and his family settled in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he received his Canadian Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and completed a two-year residency in Periodontics at Dalhousie University. Dr. Derakshan strives to always be current with the many changes in Periodontal Therapy and with the new and improved materials and techniques in Implant Dentistry. He attends numerous continuing education courses throughout the year. He is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Canadian Academy of Periodontics, Ontario Academy of Periodontics and a member of the Ontario Association of Dental Specialists. How long has Oakville Place Dental Office been in existence and how long has Dr. Solomon been in practice for?

Dr. Solomon grew up in Toronto and graduated from the University of Toronto Dental school in 1990. After this, he associated in the Greater Toronto Area for three years before establishing Oakville Place Dental Office in 1993. He has enjoyed practicing in the Oakville area for over 30 years, and have had some patients for well over 20 years!

How long have the staff been with Dr. Solomon?

Interestingly enough, our very first hire was our office manager Rochelle Burnett! We have been lucky enough to have her running the office everyday, since day 1!

In terms of the other staff members, most have been with us for many years while some are more recent additions. We are lucky in that we have a diverse mix of ages and personalities in the office!
